Summer Solstice Necklace with Aventurine and Chrome Diopside

There is a moment on the longest day of the year when the light feels almost too full to hold. This necklace was born in that moment.

Aventurine sits at the center, green and quietly luminous, a stone of open heart and gentle possibility. Chrome diopside rests at the lower tip, carrying the deep, still color of old forests after rain. Together they form something I can only describe as love that asks nothing in return.

I took this piece to my favorite place to photograph it on the solstice. The sky had four or five frames of patience before the thunder arrived. I made it home just in time. The rain that followed was the kind that soaks into cracked earth and reminds you what grace feels like.

That is what this necklace holds for me. The fullness of summer. The relief of rain. The love that rises from the heart without needing a reason.

It was genuinely hard to let go of this one.

But I know its next home is out there.
