Tektite, the ethereal

Tektite, the ethereal

I recently came across some tektite stones, and from the moment I saw them, I felt a strong pull. Something about their energy felt intense and grounding at the same time ... like they had something to say.

I couldn’t stop thinking about them. So I followed that feeling and ended up creating three necklaces. Two of them is a little unusual in shape, a little wild, and very much true to the stone’s spirit.

Tektite isn’t your typical gemstone. It’s born from impact: from a meteorite hitting the Earth with so much force that it melts the ground, throws it into the air, and creates these strange, black glassy stones as it cools on the way down. It holds that story in its body... chaos, transformation, fire, space.

The three necklaces I made with them reflect that. I didn’t try to tame them. I just let them be what they are and worked around their natural forms using soft linen, hemp, and my usual slow, meditative rhythm. They turned out raw and textured a

nd very alive.

Here are some photos I took of them. I wanted to show how each one holds its own quiet power.
