Reflections on My First Workshop: Embracing Imperfection and Connection

This past weekend, I held my very first workshop. It was a day I had been preparing for, imagining how everything would unfold. Yet, as often happens in life, it didn’t go exactly as planned. And you know what? That’s perfectly okay. In fact, it’s often the imperfections that make the experience all the more meaningful.

Let me take you behind the scenes.

A Few Bumps Along the Way

The day started with a little chaos. While I was heading to the city, the wheel on my suitcase broke. This was not the most convenient moment for that to happen, especially with the important materials inside. Then, my camera, which I was planning to use to capture the magic of the day, died on me. To top it off, the beautiful group energy I had hoped for at the beginning of the workshop didn’t quite happen. There were some awkward silences, and a few people didn’t finish their necklaces.

But here’s the thing: despite all of that, I felt incredible.

Finding Beauty in the Imperfections

What truly made the day was the people who showed up. It wasn’t about perfect materials or flawless execution. It was about connection, creativity, and the willingness to dive into something new. I had the privilege of working with a small and wonderful group who rallied together and supported each other. In those first few moments when things felt off, they helped each other, shared tips, and smiled through the uncertainty.

The atmosphere we created together felt real. We embraced the messy parts of the process. In doing so, we found something deeper... a shared experience of growth and learning. The moment when everyone found their flow, even when things didn’t go perfectly, was truly magical.

Lessons Learned and What’s Next

I walked away with valuable lessons. I realized that no matter how much you plan, there will always be moments of surprise. That’s what makes the journey interesting. The next time I hold a workshop, I’ll come prepared differently, but I’ll also be ready to embrace the unknown and trust the process. Life has a way of reminding us that flexibility is key, especially when working with creative energy.

The next workshop will be on May 4th. If you’ve been thinking about joining us, I would love to see you there. I’m already excited for the next chapter and cannot wait to dive into more creative energy with an amazing group of people.

Gratitude

To everyone who attended my first workshop: thank you.

You showed up not only to create, but to grow together, and that was the most beautiful part. You

gave me the energy and motivation to keep g

oing. I am incredibly grateful for that. This experience will stay with me for a long time, and I can’t wait to do it all again.

Here's some photo what we made:
